Why AMCI?
AMCI refers to our four wonderful grandchildren (in order of birth):
- Allen
- Madeline
- Charlotte
- Isabel
The AMCI AstroShed is located in our backyard in Del Mar, California. We began constructing the AstroShed in the spring of 2022 and finished in the summer of 2023 with the invaluable assistance of our dog, Roscoe.
The telescope was installed in August 2023, and the first images were taken at the very end of August 2023.
We hope to share our sense of wonder and awe of the universe with our family and friends. Observing the scale and incredible beauty of the universe raises innumerable questions that while having no answers are worth thinking upon.
